Why Design?

My journey with design is a simple one. I have always been an artist at heart, but art has taken many forms throughout my life. It started with music in my younger years-garage band and all. It was a good phase, but one that is best left in the past. Then my creative mind turned to drawing and writing. Songs, books, blogs- I loved to write and illustrate everything that felt important enough to document. As I got older, my creative outlet was my kitchen, where I started a bakery business and baked for many events, including birthdays and weddings. I pursued graphic and interior design right out of high school and my education during my next few years taught me so much and lit a fire within my creative outlet that has driven me to pursue this career path and hobby in my adult years. I currently create digital material for friends, family and businesses, as well as run a photography business with my sister. Can you tell I am in need of this creative outlet to keep me sane? My mind is busy, but it is beautiful and to be able to share that with others really brings me fulfillment and joy!

Why Business?

Along with my professional roles in design, I have always been in a leadership role when it comes to my career choices. Simply put- I love to manage things, but in a good way. Even though numbers don't excite me, I love being able to help run a great business and help others showcase what they are passionate about through a professional platform. Attention to detail is my superpower. Yes, my perfectionist personality might be a blessing and a curse. Although, nothing is more satisfying than a finished product that impresses all of your clients or guests. I did not choose the business world; the business world chose me- but I am here for it.
